City Skies

The skyline
strips apart the
sun
destroying the rays
and the shine.

The remainder
is an omniscient glow
that reminds
the busy world
that there's always
tomorrow.

It's Because Of You

You make me smile
like I haven't
in awhile.

The grin spreads
from ear to ear.

My eyes glisten and shine
knowing that you're mine.

You make me feel special
and that's crucial
because it's partially why
I fell in love with you.
